The experience that sets the tone

For the first time, your Resilient Futures grantees share a room. Most arrive with their walls up — that isn't a flaw in the room, it's the default.

Fund managers, the investors who back them, and the organizations around them, from different cohorts and geographies. How the day opens decides how the rest of the retreat feels.

The usual icebreaker
i.
  • Stays on the surface
  • Rewards whoever performs
  • Leaves the power gap intact
Connection by design
ii.
  • Masks off, early
  • Engineered, not hoped for
  • People, not roles
How it works

AI Connect decides who sits where and why.

Where a normal opener leaves people to find whoever they already know, every table here is composed on purpose — so the gap between grantees and investors softens and curiosity replaces hierarchy.

How the 90 minutes flow
01

Before

Guests complete a questionnaire. Their answers are what build the tables and the curated conversation starters for the room.

02

The room

At check-in, each guest receives a pre-printed, branded envelope that guides them to their table — composed in advance, on purpose.

03

The rounds

Guests move through their curated tables and conversation starters, guided round by round.

04

The share

Guests convene as a group and surface what surprised them and what they're carrying into the rest of the day.

A composed table

Illustrative — why this table works
  • Two grantees — fund managers from different regions and cohorts — seated with an LP who leads with curiosity rather than gatekeeping, and an accelerator that has backed founders like them before.
  • The two grantees discover they're solving the same problem from opposite ends of the map.
  • The LP is close enough to feel human rather than evaluative. The accelerator becomes a bridge.
  • No one at the table can see the logic that placed them there. They just feel that the conversation works.

Option 01

Design & handoff

I design the full experience — table composition, the pre-event questionnaire, synthesis and analysis of responses, the conversation starters, a detailed run-of-show, and specs for the printed materials and envelopes. Your team runs it on the day. Everything you need to deliver it beautifully, in your hands.

Option 02

Design & on-site coordination

Everything in Option 01, and I'm in the room on the day — making sure the materials are organized, the flow lands, and the experience runs as designed, while your team fronts it. You lead; I make sure it works.

Give this room something it rarely gets at the start: a genuine one.

Tell me which option fits, and we'll begin with a design session to map the people, the dynamics, and the conversations this particular room needs.
